Salary: £35,000 per year

Thanks to the current demand for solutions to the single use packaging crisis, Unpackaged is undergoing rapid change and we’re at a really exciting juncture in our strategic development.
We work with incredible businesses & brands throughout the grocery & FMCG sector to realise our vision. From high street retailers (Planet Organic, Waitrose etc.) to manufacturers (Ecover) and supply chain providers to small independents (zero waste stores, farm shops etc.), NGO’s and government agencies - we are at the forefront of the zero waste movement in the UK and internationally.
We are offering a 12 month contract to cover our current Operations Manager’s maternity leave.
Unpackaged Operations Manager (Maternity Cover)
The Operations Manager role sits at the heart of the business and supports our Founder on all key workstreams.
Key Focus Areas:
Daily Operations - including day to day planning, reporting and project management.
Relationship Management - developing and maintaining relationships with our key clients, including delivering our training programme to retail partners.
New Business Development - supporting the team to bring in new clients.
Strategic Development - supporting the development of the business.
Special Projects - supporting to develop and manage R&D/ innovation projects that truly drive the reuse and refill sector forward.
Due to the pace of innovation within the zero waste sector, this role presents a really exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys responding to a rapidly changing, fast paced environment. As a small team we have an ‘all hands to the pump’ approach on priority projects and activities as required and need team members who thrive in this environment.

We recognise that Unpackaged is a very niche sector - we don’t expect you to have direct experience within the zero waste sector; we are looking for someone with the right transferable skills and attitude who can learn how Unpackaged works in practice.
You:

A self starter, able to work independently as well as part of a small, entrepreneurial team.
