Ocado Reuse Range Case Study
Highly efficient reuse pack design, optimised reverse logistics
As part of the The Refill Coalition project that GoUnpackaged convened in 2022, we designed both the reusable packaging and the reverse logistics process for both online retail with Ocado and for in-store refill with Aldi. Since the launch in 2024, GoUnpackaged has provided the reverse logistics and pooling services for the Ocado online solution, available at ocado.com.

- Independent Lifecycle Analysis** (LCA) results showed the Ocado rice, pasta, laundry liquid and fabric conditioner all performed better environmentally at scale than the single-use alternatives - household liquids achieve this in as few as 2 rotations
